This North Side Chicago neighborhood, official East Lakeview, is home to one of the more lively LGBTQ communities in the US, filled with an eclectic selection of restaurants, bars, clubs, architecture and shopping, primarily along Halsted Street and Broadway. It is said to be the first officially recognized gay village in the country and is home to the Center on Halsted LGBT community center, as well as the annual Pride parade.
