Hallandale is better known for horse racing and casinos, but the public beach can be accessed through two recently renovated parks. South City Beach Park on Ocean Drive has parking, open air pavilion, two bocce courts, playground and sand volleyball. North City Beach Park, home of the colorful Beach Ball Water Tower, also has parking and sand volleyball. Food is available at both.
