Local Color is one of three local boutiques founded by Jack Anderson and his French wife Liliane who opened it in 1986 not long after arriving in Key West on a 42-foot sailboat. The 3,000-sq.-ft. shop features designer jewelry, especially an extensive collection of Dominican Larimar and Baltic amber. It also has light-weight clothing of natural fabrics, particularly comfortable for the tropics. The other boutiques are Local Color Jewelry and Commotion.
