The open-kitchen Fig Tree Café started out in Pacific Beach in 2008 in an old cottage in a garden-like setting just off a beach path. It has since added two other locations - one in the middle of Hillcrest and another in Liberty Station. While not carbon copies, they all have inviting outdoor space and a dedication to locally sourced ingredients, often organic. All Fig Tree eateries are good for breakfast and brunch. Liberty Station is also open for dinner and has a special Tuesday Date Night menu.
