Third Street Beach towards the southern tip of South Beach is in an affluent condo neighborhood dubbed SoFi (south of Fifth) where Joe's Stone Crab is a culinary fixture. It's a gay favorite although no gay beach per se. It is popular with locals and hunky Brazilians playing foot volley, combining beach volleyball and soccer. Donation-based yoga classes are held on the beach at 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily (5 p.m. in the winter months).
