The Harry P. Leu Gardens covers nearly 50 acres (20 ha) with semi-tropical and tropical landscaping including camellias, ancient oaks and a butterfly garden. The camellia season is December through March. The historic Leu House Museum, a mid-19th century home on the Register of Historic Places, has tours on the half hour. Admission is free on the first Monday of the month.
