It's been called the most popular gay bar in San Francisco, and Powerhouse is definitely a good place to cruise, with a sweaty shirtless dance floor grinding to DJ-led house music every night of the week.  The back smoker's patio can get pretty wild, and many nights there's a contest of some sort - wet jockstrap is the most well-attended - with cash prizes for the winners. Thursday night underwear parties are also a guaranteed good time.
