Housed in the city's former fortress and customs house right behind the Casa Rosada, the Bicentenario is a cultural center and museum, as well as an architectural study in refurbishment and preservation. In addition to the collection of items belonging to Argentinean presidents, one of the more notable pieces is the mural "Plastic Exercise" by the Mexican artist David Alfaro Siqueiros. There is a nice café on site.
